VISITS
Once you see a puppy you would like to adopt on my AVAILABLE PUPPIES page you are welcome to schedule a visit.
I only show puppies after they are completely weaned, have their first vaccination and are ready to be taken home to their new familes. I do not show nursing puppies to prevent people bringing diseases to my residence. I also cannot price puppies before age 7 to 8 weeks.
Please make sure you are ready for a new puppy and did a lot of research if a new toy puppy is the right choice for your lifestyle. Talk to your family, landlord or roommates before you come out. Also think about your budget ( routine veterinary care, quality food, possible grooming and boarding, supplies and possible pet-deposits) and work schedule.
Tiny puppies cannot be left home from 7 am to 6pm. Somebody has to check on your new puppy frequently throughout the day to insure the puppy is eating well and is happy.
Please have your house puppy proof before taking home a puppy – remove and dispose of toxic plants, small choking hazzards on the floor, hide cables and wires, get a quite area ready for your puppy. A tiled laundry room, a baby gate to block of a small area or a not too small crate are perfect for your new puppy.
Once you have done all preparations and are ready for your new puppy please call me. I hate to make appointments and wait on people who are either hours late or never show up. I wait on people once I get a call that you are on your way.
I will open my gates and disable my alarm ONLY when I know somebody is on their way. Once I know you are on your way potential other interested parties who call are asked to wait for your decision. When you arrive at my residence the puppy you would like to visit is guaranteed available. It happened many times in the past that I took a couple hour drive to visit a puppy only to be told that the puppy I was after just got sold. They had some other puppies available which I did not like. I am not sure if some breeders only scam you to come out and hope you take a less desirable puppy.
My residence is protected by 24/7 monitored security and every area of my property is protected by life video recording. This prevents people from stealing a puppy or possible drop and injure a puppy. I also feel more safe if I know everything is recorded.
I can no longer allow existing dogs visit my puppies. I have no idea where your dog went, where he sniffed and if he possible got into contact with a contagious disease. In the past dogs peed in my house, scratched on my TV and one dog even tried to bite a puppy and chased my cats. Please make sure your existing dog is well-mannered and gets along well with other dogs. Puppies will get used to any other dog and cat with supervision.
If you want to meet the parents you have to come before dark. I no longer show my parents after dark.
Bring some time with you. I like to explain all aspects of puppy care and give a lot of advise on how to raise and train your puppy to become a loveable adult.
PLEASE CALL for directions. (512)-659-8035
My attorneys advised me against posting an address on a website. I just never know who comes out to my house. I try to always have another person with me when I receive visitors. You can’t be careful enough.
I understand that especially woman sometimes don’t feel comfortable to go to somebody’s house. If you can’t find anybody to come with you I certainly understand if you rather want to meet me in a public place. I will only meet in a 10 miles radius of my house. I will not meet anybody halfway only because they are too lazy to come to my residence.
I do under no circumstances accept checks. Cash prefered. I can also accept VISA and Mastercard ( no debit cards – there is an ATM just a few minutes from my house)
